How we handle your account, receipts, and ownership evidence. This describes current product behavior — not a substitute for legal counsel.

What Qwalti is
Qwalti is a Product Ownership Graph. We help people track products they own and learn from long-term ownership evidence — not star ratings or sponsored rankings.
What stays private
Your receipts, purchase documents, and File Vault contents are private. Uploading or scanning a receipt does not make the original document public. Smart Scan (OCR) may extract suggestions you review; scanning does not verify ownership by itself.
What you may choose to share
You choose whether to share ownership experiences with the community — for example how long you kept a product, whether it failed, or whether you would buy it again. Public profile details you set (such as a display name or title) are visible to others.
Account and device data
We store account credentials (or provider identity if you use social sign-in), session tokens, and optional push-notification device tokens so we can deliver follow-up reminders you enable. Camera and photo-library access on mobile are used only to scan barcodes or attach vault documents.
Waitlist and inquiries
If you join the waitlist or send a brand inquiry from this site, we receive the email and message you submit so we can follow up. We store waitlist and founding-brand contacts in our email provider (Resend) to send a confirmation and, later, launch or onboarding notes. We do not sell that list. Waitlist launch notes include an unsubscribe link. To be removed sooner, email hello@qwalti.com.
What we do not sell
Companies cannot pay for a better Qwalti Score, hide honest owner experiences, or buy influence over rankings. Affiliate relationships, when present, are disclosed and do not change scores or ownership evidence.
Retention and deletion
You can permanently delete a product account from Settings. See Account deletion for step-by-step instructions.
